Happy 4th of July America

 Hello Everyone and Welcome back to Merick's Corner.... Happy July 4th, Happy Birthday America. New York City's fireworks display shares many of the same characteristics as the city itself: impressive, enormous, colorful, and in-your-face. 40,000 shells are launched from six barges on the Hudson River, outshining the bright city lights. Sponsored by Macy's, the big apple's 4th of July celebration dates back to 1958. 2011's theme was American Harmony, and the show as synchronized with a wide variety of musical styles, from gospel and a capella to the sounds of the New York Pops Orchestra. Also the fireworks pay special tribute to the 125th anniversary year of the Statue of Liberty (the lady in the harbor). So those were some fun facts about the fireworks.... so come on and stroll down and lets take you on a journey to the  2011 Macy's NYC Fireworks... can i get a woohooo!!!!! ohhh here go

 Everyone knows I love take pictures of the sunset... here the view walking towards the hudson.. a view of the high line in the sunset... if you all been following the blog you all know the high line park was featured on the blog last week

 Well everyone is here... it's time for some boom boom boom!!!!!!!

 Statue of Liberty Celebrating 125 years......

 The fireworks were really bigger and better than last year and so much fun!!!!

 And after the fireworks everyone chant USA!!!! USA!!!  There is no place like Merick's Corner and NYC to check out the biggest firework display celebrating America's Birthday!!
So after the fireworks it time to head home ... a picture of boats on the hudson.. need to do a party boat next year umm...well the music was hot for sure!!!!!!

 Well why waiting fine fun things to take with my camera.... a stairs of and apartment along the hudson.. i hope they have an elevator... (lol)

 Well a great way to avoid the line is to walk a different route through the  meat packing district... ohhh the smell of raw meat.... umm ummm..

 Ahhhh the pic of me below... so serious.... maybe i got lost,... waite a minute!!! me getting lost in nyc... nahh!! lol...

 Well you know after the fireworks people get hungry... so its time to hit the eatery's, bars and ohhhh that crowded  trains,,,, i guess i will keep walking!!!

 walking through the village during the summer... all i can say is wow!!! the drama... as my girlfriends in college used to say (safe the drama for your mama) keep on walking!!!!

 i look through a window to see the fireworks live on tv.... how is it live when i was just right there.. umm umm umm,,

 anyone wants pizza.... this one is not my favorite... my fav fab pizza is johns on 44th street between  7th and 8th avenues.... ohhhhhh i love johns!!! eveyone who visit me in nyc i bring them there... so hope your planning to vist soon so we can go to johns...

 ummmm this candy look so good!!!!!! too bad i cut out sugar from my diet....

 ahhhh the pide of rivera cafe in the village with a view  of the empire state building,,,,, i heard they have good sangria....never been there so i dont know but it seems crouded and lots of sangria.. my favorite sangria of course in madrid and barcelona for sure,,,,

 I like walking through different corners.. just to see how people live.. a quiet street in the village.. nah cant be.. lol... but to be honest there is many quiet streets in the village.. and allot of beautiful town houses.. i wonder how is the rent... umm umm

 ohhhh wow.,.. does people still drive this!!! Is that my neighbor standing at the no parking  there.... ohhh i wonder if thats his new special car from california...

 Ohhhhh i should run away on this bicycle below.... train too full... lol!!!!

 oops!!! i better put it back before they call 911!!!! lol

 ahhhh well you can tell i am back in neighborhood... lol... a fire water hydrain  open up on the corner... while fireworks goes off all over the neighborhood...!!!!

Well below i had a video of the fireworks... ummm i am not sure if it will upload but if not... for sure i will put it up on you tube so you all can take a look on merick's corner television...

I hope you all had a good time looking at the pic's from the firework and strolling through the village... the fireworks was allot of fun...and i hope you all had a good time... i did and i hope you did too.. and if you were not there this year maybe you can plan a visit next year... surely for sure its going to be spectacular!!!! can i hear you say boom boom!!!! yeah!!!! I want to give a special theanks to our service men and women who are fighting for our freedom each and everyday.. we love you and we thank you for all you do for us... America is a special place for me... Its been home for me for 19 years and it will continue to be the greatest place for me on earth.. I have dream and discover many things in this great country of OZ... so help me in celebrating Americas Birthday by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA... Well... so whats coming up here on Merick's Corner.... ohhhh its vacation time soon... I am sure you must be wondering where ohh where is  Merick Corner going...i'll give you a few clues... its not Spain this year... think the land of pasta... think east... think a little country near to greece.. think the balkans... got the clue... ohhh no,,,, well you just have to stay tune to Merick's Corner and see where he will be going this year.. 3 weeks and counting!!!!! can i get a wooohoooo...!!!!
