Happy 4th of July America

 Hello Everyone and Welcome back to Merick's Corner.... Happy July 4th, Happy Birthday America. New York City's fireworks display shares many of the same characteristics as the city itself: impressive, enormous, colorful, and in-your-face. 40,000 shells are launched from six barges on the Hudson River, outshining the bright city lights. Sponsored by Macy's, the big apple's 4th of July celebration dates back to 1958. 2011's theme was American Harmony, and the show as synchronized with a wide variety of musical styles, from gospel and a capella to the sounds of the New York Pops Orchestra. Also the fireworks pay special tribute to the 125th anniversary year of the Statue of Liberty (the lady in the harbor). So those were some fun facts about the fireworks.... so come on and stroll down and lets take you on a journey to the  2011 Macy's NYC Fireworks... can i get a woohooo!!!!! ohhh here go
